I've been here twice, and have had excellent service each time. I would like a mustard option for the sausage roll, but that is just my preference, it was delicious as it was. The brown butter chocolate chip cookies may be my new favorite.
Our favorite place for croissants and many other goodies. Always get a sliced loaf of sourdough. Savory pies are really good but too expensive at $10...
I just happen to be in the area and was looking for a treat. Boy did I find one. I opted for a cookie and hot tea. Taste and quality were superb. The bakery theme is New Zealand. Looking at the what is offered, there are many mouth watering choices. Pretty cool place.
Owners, staff, and baked goods are all perfect here. Sandwiches, sweets, and some amazing selections of fresh bread. To top that all off, some of the best meat pies I’ve ever had in my life. My wife also loves the Scotches Eggs when they have them. All around a must find in Windsor. Right next to Safeway.
We stumbled on this bakery on a road trip. We now stop in as often as possible. I love the sausage roll. it's really full and not too heavy for how full it is. and the party is still flaky! We also grab the "cinnamon roll" and a loaf of bread every time. They are so delightful
Found everything I was craving for. The chicken pie was bomb. Haven't tried all the other fun goodies I bought yet. The 4 hr trip was definitely worth it. Staff was extremely friendly. Bakery was very clean and all the items were displayed and labelled accordingly. Wish I lived closer but glad I don't because then I'd be there everyday. Enjoy and order ahead to avoid disappointment.
Yum. Savory pastries New Zealand style. We chose steak and mushroom, chicken, ham and egg. Also had a sausage, scotch egg, Belgian chocolate chip cookie, a blueberry pastry and a macaroon. We also picked up a sourdough baguette. This was for brunch after driving 100 miles. Everything was tasty, the pastry flakey. We each had a favorite but the ones that stood out were the baguette, the sausage, blueberry pastry and the macaroon. You can't pick a bad one. Looking forwars to trying the other savories for next time.
The meat pies are very good. Fresh, warm and nicely flaky crust with good portion of filling. They also have cold pies if you want to bring them home to heat up later. I tried the creamy chicken and the special of the day - steak, jalapeno and cheese which was very flavorful. $10-13 a pie.
This is a fabulous bakery. They also sell lots of breads that they make in house. They have some tables inside and some outside, so we ate there. The steak and Duncan‘s mushroom savory pie was fantastic. Nice and hot, flaky crust and great filling. The chocolate lamington pastry was delicious. Maybe we were stuffed by then, but I thought the lemon bar, the light colored fudge and this custard tart thing were just ok. Seemed way too sweet, but maybe we were just so full! We bought a seeded sourdough to take home - it tasted great! Worth a stop!
Cutest local bakery! I went in looking for an afternoon treat and all the employees were so sweet, attentive, and friendly. I got the carrot cake cupcake which is delicious and chocolate chip cookie which is so soft and chewy. We happened to be talking about baguettes (I had a baguette keychain) and they were SO incredibly generous and gave one for me to try. It is delicious - super soft inside, great taste, good crust. 10/10! Highly recommend you try their treats!
